Nine injured in grenade attack in Shopian

Militants hurled a grenade at the CRPF personnel in Shopian town, resulting in injuries to 7 civilians and 2 security personnel

At least nine persons, including two security force personnel, were injured on Tuesday in a grenade attack on a CRPF patrol party in south Kashmir's Shopian district.

Militants hurled a grenade at the CRPF personnel in Shopian town at around 11:40 AM, resulting in injuries to seven civilians and two security personnel, a police official said.

He said the injured have been taken to Shopian district hospital even as security forces have launched a search operation to track down the militants.
