Bihar Chief Minister (CM) Nitish Kumar on Friday reviewed preparations for 350th Prakash Utsav of Sikh Guru Gobind Singh and centenary celebration of Champaran Satyagrah of Mahatama Gandhi next year.
Senior officials of various departments gave presentations on preparations for the two mega events to the CM, an official statement said here.
Briefing about preparations for 350th Prakash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh, Patna Commissioner Anand Kishor said that 14 units had been constituted under senior officials to look into different aspects of preparations for the event.

Nitish was also briefed about work being done by road construction department, tourism department and railways for the event, the statement said.
Principal Secretary, Tourism, Harjot Kaur said that a special counter would be opened at Patna Junction and also at Patna Sahib for convenience of travellers.
The CM was told that an International Sikh conclave would be organised in Patna during the occasion.
The review meeting also dwelt on preparations made for celebration of centenary of Champaran Satyagrah, Gandhiji's first major action against British rule.
