No cases of hacking of websites came to our notice: UP govt

An alleged newspaper report highlighted hacking of govt websites, claimed a BJP leader

Declining reports of hacking of some government websites, Uttar Pradesh government today said that no such incidents have come to its notice.

"As per the information received from the National Informatics Centre (NIC), no such cases (of hacking) have come to the notice", state Minister Shiv Pratap Yadav said in the Assembly here.

The matter was raised during Question Hour by Congress member Mukesh Srivastava alias Gyanendra Pratap, who said that on May 29 a report had appeared in a newspaper highlighting the matter of hacking of Taj Mahal, Red Fort and Fatehpur Sikri websites.

He said this was a matter of grave concern and government should take action in this regard.
 
BJP member Radha Mohan Das Agarwal also claimed that sites of UP technical university, some private universities and state government were also hacked.
