The Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI’s) Working Commitee backed N Srinivasan and IPL’s Chief Operating Officer Sundar Raman in the IPL 2013 spot-fixing and betting scandal
The Committee, which met at Chennai on Tuesday, said “There is no taint on the conduct of N Srinivasan and the allegations levelled against him by unscrupulous elements were baseless and aimed at destabilising the working of the BCCI.”
The Committee met for nearly two hours. It was decided not to take any action against Sundar Raman. Instead, the Board decided to support him to represent his case at the apex court.

The Committee, which met at Chennai today said "there is no taint on the conduct of N Srinivasan and the allegations leveled against him by unscrupulous elements were baseless and were aimed at destabilising the working of the BCCI," said in the media statement issued after the meeting.
The BCCI's Working Committee met here at Chennai for nearly two hours today. During the meeting it was decided not to take any action against Sundar Raman, COO of IPL, instead it the Board to support him to represent his case at the Apex Court.
"Like everybody is given an opportunity to explain himself, we have decided that Sundar Raman should be allowed to present himself in the Supreme Court," said Sanjay Patel, BCCI's Secretary,. when asked about BCCI giving clean chit to Sundar Raman. For further queries on the BCCI's approach on this, he said, "Let the Supreme Court decide on the issue," he told reporters after the meeting.
The development comes a day after the Panel has cleared Srinivasan of any involvement in fixing or betting and dismissed allegations that Srinivasan tried to scuttle investigations into the IPL match-fixing scandal. But it found fault with him for ignoring a violation of the code of conduct by an unnamed player.
After the meet, BCCI issued a press statement in which it stated that the members were given a copy of the final report of the Justice Mudugal Committee and the conclusions were explained and discuss
