Now, software for online appointment of doctors at AIIMS

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, a premium institute for medical research and health care, on Saturday, launched a digital version of out patient department (OPD) process that enables patients to take appointments of doctors via online and thereby reduces patient waiting time.

The digital version of the OPD management system, developped by Tata Consultance Services, allows patients to take online appointment of doctors and assigns a time for them.

The waiting area inside hospital premises is equipped with large scale LED monitors that show real-time doctor availability. It also has 10 web kiosks that take 50 seconds to register patients without appointments while 30 seconds to patients with appointments.
