NRI (non-resident Indian) entrepreneur and Nextt CEO (chief executive officer) Arun Agarwal has been appointed on the board of Texas's Product Development and Small Business Incubator (PDSBI) by Governor Greg Abbott. Agarwal, the first Indian-American to hold a position on PDSBI board, would hold the post till February 2019. The PDSBI fund provides financing to aid in the development, production and commercialisation of new products to foster small businesses within Texas.
Agarwal is also a board member of the US-India Chamber of Commerce of Dallas/Fort Worth and an honorary advisory board member for Indian American Friendship Council.
Nextt, the largest bedding company in North America, is a diversified manufacturer of home textiles, garments, apparel fabrics and polyester yarns.
