ODI match at Barabati insured for Rs 20 cr

Out of the sum insured, Rs 5 cr is for standard fire and perils, Rs 7 cr for public liability (spectators and visitors) and Rs 8 cr for special contingency

The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has insured the fifth ODI between India and Australia to be played at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack for Rs 20 crore.

"We have insured the ground and other property including the spectators for an amount of Rs 20 crore for the day and night international to be played on October 26 with Oriental Insurance Company", OCA secretary Asirbad Behera told media persons.

Out of the sum insured, Rs 5 crore is for standard fire and perils, Rs seven crore for public liability (spectators and visitors) and Rs eight crore for special contingency.OCA will print 44,455 tickets, but it will sell 32,990 tickets, out of which 20,350 tickets will be sold to public and 12,640 tickets will be reserved for members, affiliated units of OCA and Odisha Olympic Association, OCA staff, advertisers and affiliated state units of BCCI.
 

The state cricket association has decided to sell tickets online and introduce bar-code system for the first time.About 10 per cent of the tickets will be sold between October 10 and 21 through the website, ticketgenie.in and those tickets remaining unsold for the reserved categories will be put to sale for the general public.

The counter sale of tickets for public would start from October 23 and will continue till the stock of ticket is exhausted. For the affiliated units of OCA and BCCI , tickets will be sold on October 20 and 21.Behera said, Punjab National Bank's Bidanasi branch will sell the tickets.

The tickets have been priced at Rs 500 and Rs 400 for galleries of different tiers and Rs 3000, Rs 2000, Rs 4000 for corporate gallery, special enclosure and new pavilion respectively. While corporate box ticket will cost Rs 10000 and tickets for A/C box can be bought at Rs 5000 each.
