Odisha fills up over 22,000 posts in two years

CM Patnaik stresses on expediting hiring for government posts by resolving legal issues

The state government has recruited people for 22,789 posts in the last two years out of the total manpower requirement of 66,239 approved by the finance department.

Recruitment is underway for the balance posts, stated a government release. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today took stock of the employment position in different government departments.

Patnaik stressed on expediting hiring for government posts by resolving legal issues.

The departments have been instructed to submit their requisitions for different posts within a month.

As many as 952 posts have been filled up through the Odisha Staff Selection Commission and efforts are going on to fill up 3371 more posts. Similarly, 216 posts have bene filled up through the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
 
The Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission has initiated the process of recruitment for 3611 posts.
