Online loan collection is the way forward post lockdown: SCUF chief

Chennai-based non-banking finance company (NBFC) Shriram City Union Finance Ltd (SCUF) is seeing the lockdown helping many of its customers to repay their loans online. Many of them were earlier unwilling to try out the digital mode. In an interaction, Y S Chakravarti, MD & CEO, of SCUF tells Gireesh Babu that the company expects its customers to come back on track within six to nine months once the lockdown is lifted. How has SCUF been managing operations during the lockdown period?

We have close to 12,000 sales and collection executives on whose mobiles we pushed customers' data.
