Over 15 flights, 50 trains delayed due to fog in Delhi

Lucknow, Jaipur, Patna, Jammu, Varanasi also affected

Operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport came to a standstill this morning after visibility dropped due to dense fog. According to reports, at least 16 flights were delayed due to dense fog.

More than fifty trains have also been delayed and many others rescheduled.

In a statement, Indigo said that operations would be affected during the first few hours and visibility is expected to become better after around 11 am.

Not just Delhi, visibility at Lucknow and Jaipur is below minimum and could get better by around 10 am. Fog also disrupted visibility at Guwahati and Agartala airports, but visibility became better after 8.30 am.
 
Patna, Jammu, Varanasi and Chandigarh are also affected by fog. The weather is likely to improve after 12 am at Patna, by 10 am at Jammu and Varanasi and by 12 am at Chandigarh, according to a report by Indigo.

Operations at all other airports across the country are normal.
