Police confiscates explosives and spirit in Bihar

The SP said that the consignment were meant for supply to the Maosits

A large consignment of explosives and spirit was today seized from a village under Dehri police station area in Bihar's Rohtas district, a police officer said.

Acting on a tip off, police raided a farmhouse of Bangali Singh Yadav in Rudrapura village and seized 96 sacks of ammonium nitrate, containing 50 kgs each, besides 35 litre illicit spirit, Superintendent of Police Vikash Varman said.

The SP said that the explosives and spirit were meant for supply to the Maosits.

No arrest has been made as yet in connection with seizure of explosives and spirit, Varman said.
