Police on Monday sealed two offices of the Green India Pvt Ltd (GIPL), a non-banking finance company (NBFC) located in Dharma Nagara area in the city on charges of cheating the investors. Several documents were also seized from the offices for investigation in connection with a cheating case registered against the firm here last year. Police said the alleged cheated amount by the company was around Rs 4 crore as they received the complaints. "The amount might be much higher as several other investors have also been duped by the firms," said inspector in charge, town police station Anil Kumar Mishra. The company was engaged in the business of collective investment. A case was registered against the branch manager of the NBFC Jitendra Mishra.
