Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles will commence their first visit to Kerala from next Monday. The British Royal couple will be in the state till Nov 14, according to an official press statement of the British High Commission, New Delhi.
There will not be any official function as the visit is mainly confined to sight seeing, which includes a trip to Vazhachal Elephant Corridor in Thrissur district. Prince Charles will also be celebrating his 65th birthday in Kochi.
The authorities are yet to disclose the details of the celebrations planned for the day for security reasons. On Monday their programme starts with a visit to the Kerala Folklore Museum and Theater at Kochi. Kathakali' and 'Kalarippayattu', the traditional martial art of Kerala will be performed for them, at the Folklore Museum.
