Moderate to heavy rains occurred in many parts of Himachal Pradesh as monsoons intensified in the state.

Mercury dropped by few notches due to intermittent rains in some parts of the state, a Met department official said.

Shimla and surrounding areas received 46 mm of rains while Bilaspur was wettest place in the state with 65 mm rains, followed by Sahib 53 mm, Berthin 50 mm, Hamirpur 40 mm, Khadrala 30 mm, Nagrota Suriyan and Guler 23 mm, Bangana 19 mm, Pachhad 11 mm and Dharampur 9 mm.

Met office has predicted rains and thundershowers at many places in lower, mid and higher hills over next six days from tomorrow, and warned of heavy rains in some places in mid hills on June 26.
