After ousting N Srinivasan from the post of BCCI president, now his "loyalists" might also be shown the door, according to some media reports. Team India Director Ravi Shastri might also be removed from the post, as he is considered to be a Srinivasan loyalist. Former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly might be appointed as the new director, reports say.

Hindustan Times, in its report published on Monday, said, with Jagmohan Dalmiya at the helm, the players, members of the support staff and administrators from the N Srinivasan camp might be shown the door.

The daily also quoted a source as saying, "The president (Dalmiya) believes Shastri has been pro-Srinivasan. He does not see Shastri as a long-term member of the team. He is very keen on having Sourav Ganguly as a part of the national setup."

The media reports also said V V S Laxman,  Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid might be also be made part of the national setup in various capacities.

Shastri was appointed team director in 2014 during the England one-day international tour. While the team won the one-day series, it lost the Test series 0-2 before failing to win a single game in the tri-series.

The upcoming challenge for Team India is the Bangladesh tour slated for next month. The newspaper reported that while Shastri, might be asked to travel with the team for the Bangladesh tour if nothing else works out, he is not part of the BCCI's long-term plans.
