Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat arrived in Dehradun after he was discharged on Wednesday from AIIMS in New Delhi where he was recuperating for over a month from a neck injury sustained during a rough helicopter ride.
Rawat arrived at the Jolly Grant airport in a Jet Airways flight and was received by Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee President Kishore Upadhyay, a host of other party leaders and senior government officials. He headed straight from the airport for Bijapur state guest house where he has been residing since being sworn-in as the chief minister in February this year. Earlier, Rawat's media incharge Surendra Kumar said, "though the chief minister has been discharged and declared fit to resume his routine official duties, he will have to take precautions for some more time like avoiding jerks and overstraining himself."
