Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill to be tabled in Parliament today

The will also enhance the reservation of Divyang from 4% to 5% cent in education and 3 to 4% in govt jobs

The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill, 2014 is scheduled to be tabled in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

The Bill will give effect to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, be taken into consideration.

It will also enhance the reservation of Divyang from 4 per cent to 5 per cent in education and 3 to 4 per cent in government jobs.

The Taxation Laws (Second Amendment) Bill, 2016 will come up for consideration and passage in Rajya Sabha.

The Bill, seeking to amend Income-tax Act, 1961 and the Finance Act, 2016 has been passed by the Lok Sabha.

 

HIV and AIDS Prevention and Control Bill, 2014 and the Employee's Compensation Amendment Bill, 2016 is also scheduled to be tabled in the Rajya Sabha.

In the Lok Sabha , Admiralty Jurisdiction and Settlement of Maritime Claims Bill, 2016, Mental Healthcare Bill, 2016 and Maternity Benefit Amendment Bill, 2016 is scheduled to be tabled.
