While the poice has accepted the application, it is not clear whether the FIR has been lodged. Bidhannagar police remained silent on the matter.
Meanwhile, alleging witchhunting against him by the state police, Kunal Ghosh written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking a CBI probe into the scam, a stand which has been constantly being opposed by Mamata Banerjee-government.
"I have written to PM asking for CBI probe. I am being singled out. Unless there is CBI probe the truth will not come out," Ghosh said.
Incidentally, the TMC MP had yesterday hit out at prty top leaders dragging names of Mamata Banerjee and Mukul Roy in connection to the controversy.
" 'Madam, I am setting up my media house in a way that it helps you become the PM.' This is what Sudipta Sen told Mamata," Ghosh had told yesterday. He had also apprehended that he might be arrested in a day.
He alleged that the police was "taking orders" from TMC general scretary Mukul Roy. TMC, however, refused to offer any comment to Ghosh' charges.
Incidentally, it was Left Front chairman Biman Bose he, in a way, lent his voice to support Kunal Ghosh' demand for CBI probe into the matter. "Now from Kunal Ghos' account it appears, so many big leaders and ministers are involved. Only a CBI probe can unearth the truth," Biman Bose said.
