The Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to entertain a PIL seeking direction to stop alleged funding of separatist organisations in Jammu and Kashmir by the Centre and the state government, saying that the courts should refrain from entering the area.
Stating that this PIL does not deserve to be entertained, the bench of Justice Dipak Misra and Justice Uday Umesh Lalit said the "grant of funds for the purposes of security and otherwise comes within the domain of the Central government."
Pointing out that the issue raised in the PIL was not part of "judicially manageable proceedings", Justice Misra said that "in issues like this the courts have minimum role".
