Singapore-based Lee Kuan Yew School of public policy would design the policy for the Chhattisgarh government in connection with the ease of doing business in the state.
The state government had inked a tripartite agreement the school of the National University of Singapore and the Chhattisgarh Chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The university has built up research expertise in seven core sectors that are key areas of public policy challenges in Asia in the years and decades ahead.
According to industry department officials, the Singapore University and Chhattisgarh CII would conduct extensive study in the mineral-rich state with reference to ease of doing business in the state. "The university would submit a report suggesting how to ease process and policy for the industries," the officials added.

The study would include setting up new industries, process for the same, finance arrangement, taxation and other matters related to relaxing the norms for making procedure easy. The deadline for completing the study and submitting the report to the state government had not been finalized.
"The industry department of the state government would provide all necessary assistance to the university in the study," Chief Minister Raman Singh said. The atmosphere for investment in the state had been apt and the government had already announced number of concession and relaxations for the industry in its new industrial policy released this year, he added.
The state government recently launched a website that would help the investors for easy business in the state. The investors could now apply for land and other clearances on line; could access its status and get the order from the authorities concern online.
