Srinagar-bound Air India flight makes a bumpy landing in Jammu due to tyre burst; all passengers safe

According to sources, the runway suffered some damage due to the accident

Passengers of an Air India flight had a providential escape on Friday when the tyres of the aircraft burst on landing at the Jammu airport here, police sources said.

The number of passengers on the Delhi-Srinagar flight could not be known immediately.

"All the passengers are safe. The plane was scheduled to travel to Srinagar after picking and dropping passengers from Jammu," an official said.

Sources said the runway suffered some damage due to the accident.
