A Goa Police team landed in Mumbai Tuesday to record the statement of the woman reporter who has accused Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal of sexually assaulting her.

The Goa Police Crime Branch team led by Inspector Sunita Sawant also includes a woman counsellor activist who is expected to work as an interface between the woman and the police while recording the statement.

Sources said Goa Police established contact with the woman reporter Monday after assessing the contents of the documents and electronic devices seized in the case so far.
