Textiles Commissioner, GGMA to host buyer-seller meet

The meet is being held in order to provide opportunity to the industry in the decentralised sector to market their fabric/products at regional and cluster level

The regional office of the Textile Commissioner, Ahmedabad, Govt. of India, Ministry of Textiles along with with the Gujarat Garment Manufacturer’s Association (GGMA) is organising a buyer-seller meet of powerloom products at Ahmedabad.

According to the Textile Commissioner’s office, the meet is being held in order to provide opportunity to powerloom industry in the decentralised sector to market their fabric/products at regional and cluster level.  

To be held from June 26, 2014 to June 28, 2014 along with 23rd (GGMA) National Garment Fair, 2014, the buyer-seller meet will see participation from powerloom units from various parts of the country, especially those from small scale sector having SSI registration.  
 
“The interested powerloom units/entrepreneurs having SSI registration on paying an nominal amount of Rs 3000 will be allotted a stall of size 3 x 3 meter.  It may be noted that since the number of stalls proposed is only 30, the applications shall be considered for confirmation on first come first allot basis only,” the Textile Commissioner office stated in an official communique.  

The 23rd edition of (GGMA) National Garment Fair, 2014 is one of the largest trade fair for apparel brands and retailers and will be a platform that will generate advancement of fabric production in the garment industry.  

Over 350 exhibitors which include manufacturers, distributors, traders, retailers from garment, franchisees, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will be participating in the said fair.
