After launching the low-cost canteens and low-price vegetable shops, the Tamil Nadu government has launched the 'Amma' mineral water priced at Rs 10 a litre to be sold by the State Transport Corporation.
Chief minister Jayalalithaa said the slew of recent launches were done under the state's policy to reduce the burden on the common man.
The water bottles would be made available in long-distance bound buses and district services. The bottles will be on sale from September 15, coinciding with the birthday of late chief minister of Tamil Nadu C N Annadurai, a release stated.
