Ukraine urges citizens to leave Russia

Ukraine's foreign ministry warned Ukrainians not to visit Russia and urged its citizens already there to leave the country, in a travel advisory issued on Wednesday.
 
"The foreign ministry recommends that citizens of Ukraine refrain from any trips to the Russian Federation, and those who are in this country to leave its territory immediately," the ministry said.

Cars24 announces ESOP buyback of Rs 75 cr after raising $850 mn in funding

Cars24, an e-commerce platform for pre-owned vehicles which has raised around $850 million in funding in the last six months, has announced an ESOP (employee stock option plan) buyback worth Rs 75 crore to reward the company’s employees.
 
The company said it has consistently held annual ESOP buybacks for the last four years, for both existing and former employees. The value of total ESOP buyback by the company to date stands at Rs 113 crore.
 
In December last year, Cars24 had raised $400 million in its Series G round of funding at a $3.3-billion valuation. The company’s previous funding round was in September, when it raised $450 million at a $1.84-billion valuation. Read on...

Reiterating its 'one-China principle', Beijing on Tuesday claimed that Taiwan is an inalienable part of its territory.
 
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Wang Wenbin, stressed during a presser that there is but one China, claiming Taiwan as a part of its territory.
 
"This is an indisputable historical and legal fact. The one-China principle is a universally-recognized norm governing international relations," he said as per a press statement released by China's Foreign Ministry.

Assembly polls: Uttar Pradesh records 9.10% voter turnout till 9 am

A voter turnout of 9.10 per cent was recorded in the fourth phase of Uttar Pradesh till 9 am where polling for 59 Assembly seats began at 7 am today.
 
According to the Election Commission of India, the Pilibhit constituency recorded the highest voter turnout of 10.62 per cent followed by Fatehpur (9.69 per cent), Sitapur (9.52) and Unnao (9.23 per cent).
 
Raebareli from where the sitting MLA Aditi Singh is contesting elections as a BJP nominee has recorded the lowest voter turnout so far with 8 per cent.
 
Polling is underway in 59 Assembly seats which are spread across the districts of Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Unnao, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Banda, and Fatehpur.
