The YSR Congress Chief Y S R Jaganmohan Reddy today met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa as part of his campaign against bifurcation of the State of Andhra Pradesh.
The Senior leader from Andhra Pradesh also met DMK Chief M Karunanidhi, whose party is a key ally of United Progressive Alliance (UPA), which is planning to divide the State of Andhra Pradesh.
The meeting between Reddy and Chief Minister held at the State secretariat and Reddy was accompanied by Ongole MLA Balineni Srinivas, Nellore MP Makhapathi Rajamohan Reddy, Tirupati Urban Development Authority chairman C H Bhaskara Reddy and a few other senior leaders. Later he drove to Karunanidhi's residence at Gopalapuram to meet the DMK's Supermo.

Reddy earlier obtained trial court's permission to visit Tamil Nadu and Lucknow to meet the Political leaders in both the States to convince the leaders for a united Andhra Pradesh.
So far, he had met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray among others.
He was suppose to meet Samajwadi Party leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, on Tuesday but it was cancelled at the last minute and meeting was re-scheduled.
Meanwhile, Chennai witnessed traffic jams in main areas, including the mount road which connects the airport with the City for over three hours when YSR Congress President arrived in the city.
Reports stated that Reddy made his way from the airport in a convoy of 40 cars accompanied by security personnel.
Speaking to reporters after meeting Karunanidhi, Reddy said what is happening in Andhra Pradesh is a national issue and should not be treated as one state's issue.
"I have explained this in detail to both the leaders and also discussed about the need of amending the Article 3 of the Constitution, to prevent its misuse by any Government at the Centre with 272 seats, even without the consent of the States".
Reports also stated that, during his 30 minutes meeting with Jayalalithaa he also discussed about the possibilities of the third front at the Centre.
