UP Governor sends report to Centre on Muzaffarnagar violence

Curfew has been imposed in riot-hit areas of Muzaffarnagar in the wake of the violence

Uttar Pradesh Governor B L Joshi has sent his report on the Muzaffarnagar violence, in which 28 persons were killed, to the Centre, official sources said today.
 
The report has been sent to the Centre yesterday itself, a senior official said here.
 
In the report, the Governor has cited the sequence of events beginning August 27, when three persons were killed in Kawal town of Muzaffarnagar over an incident of eve-teasing.
 
Sources said Joshi has also stated other details regarding administrative lapses as well as the situation prevailing in the town presently.
 
Curfew has been imposed in riot-hit areas of Muzaffarnagar in the wake of the violence.
