The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recently announced the results of the Indian Economic Services (IES)/Indian Statistical Services (ISS) 2016 written test on the official website. Candidates, who have qualified for the nterview/personality test, are required to fill up the Detailed Application Form (DAF), in accordance with the rules of examination.
The DAF will be available on the Commission’s website www.upsc.gov.in till June 25, 2016, 11:59 PM.
The personality test is scheduled for July 2016. However, the exact date will be intimated to the candidates through e-Summon letters. Alternatively, roll number-wise interview schedule will be made available on the official website shortly.
How to fill up the DAF
According to the rules, candidates qualified for the personality test are required to fill up the DAF. The procedure:
1. Log on to Commission's official website www.upsc.gov.in

2. Click on the ‘DAF – Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2016’ link in the What’s New section
3. Click on the relevant examination IES or ISS
4. Register on the relevant page
5. Fill in the details required like Roll Number, Name, Date Of Birth, Mobile No, E-mail Address, and Alternate e-mail Address
6. Log in using the new id, i.e. roll no, and enter the password
7. Upload the requisite documents
8. Read the instructions carefully and fill up the form
9. Take a print out for future reference
Documents to upload along with the DAF
In addition to filling up the DAF accurately, candidates are also required to upload scanned copies of various documents in 200 dpi grey-scale and converted to a single pdf file not exceeding 2 MB in size. The documents include:
1. Age certificate
2. Certificates showing his/her educational qualification (Check the notice of the examination uploaded in the
Gazette of India dated January 16, 2016)
3. Certificate in support of claim to belong to scheduled caste/scheduled tribes/other backward
classes/physically handicapped (If applicable)
4. Undertaking duly signed by the candidate seeking relaxation as OBC candidate (If applicable)
5. Duly filled in and signed pro forma to DAF by the candidate seeking relaxation as OBC candidate (If applicable)
6. Certificate in support of claim of age concession (If applicable)
7. Certificate in support of claim to being physically handicapped (If applicable)
Essential documents for personality test
Candidates need to bring the printed copy of the DAF duly signed by them, along with original documents and self-attested photocopy of each at the time of the personality test/ interview.
