Vizag port sees normalcy in cargo handling

According to port sources, the oil berth was badly damaged, but as the alternative mooring berth is intact there is immediately no problem for petroleum crude oil imports

Vizag port has achieved normalcy in cargo handling operations and since October 16 vessels started coming to the inner harbour. Hudhud cyclone had badly affected port operations and a few equipment and berths were partially damaged.

According to port sources, the oil berth was badly damaged, but as the alternative mooring berth is intact there is immediately no problem for petroleum crude oil imports .

On October 17 morning, two vessels were berthed at the inner harbour and by evening this increased by 5. However unloading and evacuation of cargo operations have been delayed due shortage of dumpers and trucks.
