Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asserted today that his government would not tolerate any corruption and officials found indulging in graft would be jailed and their properties confiscated.

Adityanath also targeted the SP claiming there was large-scale corruption during its rule with development taking place only on paper.

"Development work during the SP regime was carried out only on paper but not in reality. The present BJP led government is genuinely working for the people and has completed projects that were stalled for so many years, in just six months of being in power," the chief minister said.

Adityanath said the BJP government had not just launched projects but was also committed to completing them within a stipulated time.

"Our government is delivering corruption-free rule and has even urged the public that in case any government official demands a bribe, they must record the entire act", he said.

Corrupt officials will be sent to jail and their properties will be confiscated, he said.

The chief minister on the occasion inaugurated projects worth over Rs 300 crore in the district including the construction of a flyover on a railway crossing, expansion of Chahaniya Dhanapur-Mahuji road by 42 kms and also the expansion of Baburi-Dharauli road by 15 kms.

He also announced the setting up of new government-run schools in the district.
