Expanding its global collaborations, Xavier Institute of Management — Bhubaneswar (XIM-B) has tied up with the Thunderbird School of Global Management and WP Carey School of Business, Arizona State University for offering five degree programmes.
"XIM-B, the management school of Xavier University- Bhubaneswar has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Thunderbird, WP Carey School of Business and Arizona State University for offering degree programmes for students from the university. The University's collaboration is first of its kind in the country", said Father Paul Fernandes, Director, XIM-B and Vice Chancellor of the varsity.
After the collaborations, Thunderbird would offer world's ranked one programme in Master of Global Management and Master of Arts in Global Affairs and Management to the students of the varsity. Similarly, WP Carey School of Business would offer three programmes namely- Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Science in Finance, Master of Science in Global Logistics.
The first year graduate students of XIM-B scoring 7.5 out of a scale of 10 with work experience would be eligible to undertake their second year in these programmes at international locations, he added.
The intake capacity for the five programmes, which are dual degree programmes, will have intake capacity of five students each.
"It is a gesture on their part to raise the standard of Indian education. The focus can be to attain the global leadership. The country which is looking to enhance the quality of higher education, it is the model", added the director.

The classes for the five degree courses will commence in August this year.
The programme cost for Thunderbird Master of Global Management and Master of Arts in Global Affairs & Management are $70000 and $60000 respectively. Similarly, the cost of Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Science in Finance and Master of Science in Global Logistics programmes at WP Carey School of Business are $49850 each.
"With the new tie-ups,XIM-B's collaborations with the foreign universities now stood at 14. In next one month we are going for seven more international collaborations", said Sasmit Patra, associate dean, International Programmes, XIM-B.
