Former Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa is unsure of attending the two-day national executive meeting in Mumbai this month. Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had earlier said he might skip the meeting.
Yeddyurappa had recently threatened to split the party in Karnataka, claiming he had the support of more than 50 BJP members of the legislative assembly, including eight ministers. “B S Yeddyurappa is not sure about going to Mumbai for the national executive because of the political developments in the state, and he is busy with the Central Bureau of Investigation raids,” said a close aide of Yeddyurappa.
