In a first of its kind initiative in the country, Delhi police today launched a web-based application through which a person can report loss of any document/article online or through a smartphone App.

Talking about the "revolutionary" step, Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said "today Delhi Police has taken an effective step for the people of Delhi which is the first of its kind undertaken by any police force in India."

Elaborating on the new project, Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi said "the App, named 'Delhi Police Lost Report' is currently available on Android platform and can be downloaded from 'Google Play Store'.
