'India a safe investment destination'

Touting India as a favourable investment destination, National Security Advisor JN Dixit today said the country was a "safe and secure" place to do business.

"India's security environment was improving within the region... International security at borders is fraught with some aberrations but the bitter part will be removed... There are positive indicators that it is a safe and secure place to do business," he said at the India Economic Summit.

Dixit said India was a key player in the World Trade Organisation and was working actively with groups like Saarc, while engaging constructively with its neighbours.
