US-based companies may be keen to tap mineral assets of Odisha, US ambassador to India Nancy Jo Powell said.
Powell held discussions with chief minister Naveen Patnaik on agriculture, commerce and education, the potential sectors for trade ties between Odisha and US.
Earlier, Powell, who is on a two-day visit to the state, inaugurated an American Study Centre at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), a constituent of the city-based KIIT university.
