42.15 MT of wheat arrives in Haryana

With the fresh arrival of over 1.18 lakh metric tonne of wheat in the various mandis of Haryana, total arrivals of the crop have reached 42.15 lakh metric tonne in the state. 

Stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said that over 42.14 lakh metric tonne of wheat has been purchased by the six government procuring agencies at the minimum support price and 1,099 metric tonne of wheat by traders.   

Over 14.31 lakh metric tonne of wheat has been purchased by HAFED, 10.78 lakh metric tonne by the Food and Supplies Department, 6.09 lakh metric tonne by Food Corporation of India, 4.35 lakh metric tonne by Agro Industries Corporation, 3.75 lakh metric tonne by Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 2.83 lakh metric tonne by CONFED, he added. 

 

The spokesman said that Kaithal district was leading in terms of wheat arrivals, with over 4.90 lakh metric tonne of wheat arriving in the mandis so far, followed by Karnal, where over 4.76 lakh metric tonne of wheat has arrived in the mandis.
