5 firms keen on upkeep of 3 Jaipur parks

Five companies have shown interest in beautifying and maintaining three major parks in Jaipur. These companies gave a presentation in this regard to the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) here on Saturday.

"The Bharat Vikas group, Colour Design Associates, Pulmul Agro, Jaipur Agrotech and Consortium made their presentations on Saturday in response to the bids we had invited for beautification and maintenance of three parks""Central Park, Jawahar Circle, and Nehru Garden, in the city," a JDA official said.

The JDA a few days ago had invited "expressions of interest" from all the agencies and companies having good experience in horticulture.

Under the JDA's scheme a sum of Rs 17 crores is to be be spent on the beautification of Jawahar circle, Nehru Park and Central Park of the city.

The scheme would also involve construction of water huts and fountains, promoting plantation and installation of several big and small swings and other related equipments for the kids.

JDA Official said that the selected firm would also be entrusted with the job of maintenance of all the parks and the installed equipments for the duration of three years.

Official informed that the scheme also involves installation of musical fountains, high mast light and various other sound and light arrangements in the parks.

In a bid to attract tourist to these public parks the scheme also involves the provision of special "Laser shows" and  "Sound and Light show" every evening in these parks.
