58 swine flu cases reported in Haryana so far

As many as 58 positive cases of influenza A H1N1 (swine flu) reported from Haryana have so far been treated successfully and the state health department has set up three helplines to provide information regarding the influenza.

Stating this here today, a spokesman of the health department said two persons suffering from swine flu and hailing from Haryana have so far died in a hospital in New Delhi where they were under treatment.

They included Usha Jain, 42, a resident of Faridabad who passed away yesterday and Samrat Pandya,31, of Gurgaon who had died on August 20.

He said a total of 58 positive cases were reported from the State, of which, 49 belonged to Gurgaon district, five to Faridabad district, two to Panipat district, and one each to Sirsa and Bhiwani districts. He said the the health department has set up helplines to enable people to get information concerning the disease.
