Nilkamal Plastics, the moulded furniture and crate manufacturer, has put up a good show even in tough times. It has recorded a 68 per cent compounded annual growth in turnover in the past seven years. Today, it is the market leader in plastic moulded furniture with a market share of around 18 per cent. Moulded furniture accounts for around 65 per cent of its turnover and crates contribute 35 per cent. It is also the largest supplier of plastic crates to Pepsi and Coca Cola.
Nilkamal has four units - Sinnar in Maharashtra, Silvassa, Pondicherry and Noida in Uttar Pradesh. It has also set up a joint venture in Sri Lanka where it holds a 76 per cent stake. For the year ended
