8 Sub-Stations To Be Built In Haryana

To ensure quality power supply to farmers, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has decided to construct eight 33 kv sub-stations and increase the capacity of 21 sub-stations. The corporation has earmarked Rs 18.44 crore for the purpose during 2002-2003.

The sub-stations would be constructed by the Rural Electrification Corporation under the Accelerated Power Development Reforms Programme and Nabard sche-mes, said a corporation spok-esman in Panchkula today.

The corporation had commissioned 33 kv sub-stations in Jhansa and Jakholi villages and in Karnal this year, said a corporation release.

More sub-stations would be constructed in Murthli, Naissi, Padda, Manjura, Sewah and Kutani villages.

 

The construction of a 33 kv sub-station in Khewra village near Sonipat would be taken up shortly, the spokesman said.

He said the capacity of sub-stations at Kangthali, Noutch and Kwartan in Kurukshetra district, Dhamtan Sahib in Jind district and in Sonipat had been enlarged.

The corporation would increase the capacity of sub-stations at the Kurukshetra University, Rajaund and Sewan Gate Kaithal.

Similarly, the capacity of 33 kv sub-stations at Uplana, Ballah, Kohand, Dharamgarh, Kachhwa, Merrut Road Karnal and Nagla Megha in Karnal and Panipat districts would be increased shortly.

The capacity of 33 kv sub-stations at Pandu Pindara, Uchana, Julana, Ram Rai/Bibipur, Hatt, Singhana and Danoda in Jind district and Jhajjar, Machhrouli, MIE Bahadurgarh and HNG Bahadurgarh in Jhajjar district would be augmented, he added.
