Free car parking services provided by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) will come to an end from Monday midnight at all airports.

In the wake of currency-crunch due to the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes, the AAI has evolved a digital payment mechanism at all of its operational airports and will commence accepting car parking charges through e-payment transactions using Debit/Credit Cards, Paytm, freecharge and other digital payment methods from Monday midnight, said an AAI statement.

Now, with effect from November 29 (00:01 hrs), AAI resumes charges/fee for car parking, which it had temporarily withdrawn from the midnight of November14, through e-payment transactions at all its operational airports across the nation and hope that air travellers and airport users do get the required facilitations at the airports.
