The Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers' Federation (TNCMPF), owner of the Aavin brand, will upgrade its ISO 9002 certification to comply with the year 2002 version.
The upgraded version, when obtained, will vouch for the quality systems in place at Aavin, which help the company reach out to its customers.
The present version of ISO 9002 certification for Aavin vouches only for the quality systems in terms of processing and packaging. The upgraded version specifically targets certification for quality system in terms of customer satisfaction

The current ISO certification was obtained in 1994 and is due to expire in December this year.
Efforts in improving customer satisfaction have already started bearing fruit.
