Two days before his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee called an emergency meeting with Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today to discuss internal security and the Jammu and Kashmir situation.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to address a public meeting in Srinagar during his visit to the state, beginning April 18. The visit is significant because this will be the first time in 15 years that a Prime Minister will address the public in Jammu and Kashmir.
