Union home minister L K Advani stepped in to broker a truce between communications minister Pramod Mahajan and disinvestment minister Arun Shourie to bring an end to the infighting within the BJP over Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL).
In a 45-minute discussion with Advani, the ministers poured their hearts out before the man who has been a mentor to both, and resolved to bury the hatchet, at least for the moment. Mahajan was hurt at Shourie
