BJP prime ministerial candidate L K Advani would kick off the election campaign here tomorrow for Chhattisgarh, where assembly poll is likely to be held in November.

Since the state assembly election is not far away, tomorrow's public meeting of the former Deputy Prime Minister can be a 'virtual' kick off of poll campaign for the 90-seat assembly, BJP sources said.

Since the model code of conduct could be in force any time, just before that the State government wanted to have the two big functions, they said.

Advani would lay the foundation stone for to two power plants of 1,500 Mw at a cost of Rs 700 crore in Korba district, Chairman f the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board Rajib Ranjan told reporters here.
