Two city advocates today submitted a private complaint to Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj seeking his sanction to prosecute Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, his two sons and his cabinet colleagues under Anti-Corruption Act.

The advocates, Sirajin Bhasha and K N Balakrishna who claim to be members of a forum called ‘Justice Lawyers’ told reporters outside Raj Bhavan they had submitted a 150-page complaint attached with 1,500 supporting documents seeking Bhardwaj’s sanction to prosecute Yeddyurappa, his two sons and his cabinet colleagues “under section 13 and section 14 of the 1988 Anti-Corruption Act as they had violated a number of rules, causing a loss of Rs 5,000 crore to the state exchequer”.

They also appealed to Bhardwaj to uphold the Constitution and accord permission to prosecute them.
