Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway to be ready by March

 Also the NH-8 stretch from Surat to Vadodara will be converted into a six-lane highway. Work on the Ahmedabad-Nadiad stretch was inaugurated by Prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee last year.

 Addressing a meeting of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Naik said the strengthening of the road network and work on new roads are progressing.

 Giving details of various projects being undertaken by his ministry in Gujarat, the minister said the NH-8 stretch from Ratanpur to Chiloda in north Gujarat will be converted from the present two-lane road to a four-lane highway.
