AI, Kingfisher put on cash-and-carry mode by GMR

GMR Group which runs the Delhi and Hyderabad airports has decided to put Air India and Kingfisher Airlines on a cash-and-carry basis at the two airports from June 1 unless the airlines clear the dues.

Air India owes Rs 252 crore (Rs 217 crore for Delhi and Rs 35 crore for Hyderabad) and Kingfisher’s dues amount to Rs 90 crore (Rs 68 crore for Delhi and Rs 22 crore for Hyderabad), according to a GMR Group spokesperson. The outstanding dues pertain to landing and parking charges.
