The government is likely to introduce the bill proposing the Airport Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) during the budget session.

The group of ministers (GoM) have deliberated and sorted out issues pertaining to defence airfields, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel said at Aerodrome India 2006 here.

A representative from the defence sector may be included in AERA, the minister added.

AERA would look at tariff-related issues, official sources said.  The defence secretary would be involved in the selection of three AERA members.
