Airtel Unveils New Offering

AirTel today announced an innovation that enables speech-activated access to a host of information services in Chennai.

AirTel subscribers need to dial 646 and then just speak out the service they wish to access to be automatically connected.

The voice recognition lends an angle of interactivity for the subscriber wherein he/she can skip from one information service to another by using voice commands alone.

The system runs on a speech recognition-based software that has been rigorously tested for performance.

It is optimized to respond to the multitude of accents found in Chennai. In order to achieve this, more than 15000 voice samples were collected from a cross section of consumers.
